Scale of Support

The EEF will fund projects which are large enough to be robustly evaluated and organisations that we can effectively support. It is therefore unlikely that we will fund small-scale projects reaching only a small number of students.

As a guide, we would typically expect our smallest grant to be in the order of £50,000 a year and our smallest project to reach at least 100 students. In most cases projects would also reach more than one school.

The support offered by the EEF will depend on our assessment of the needs of the host organisation and the scale and nature of the project that the EEF will be funding. As well as a financial grant, an organisation might also be offered capacity-building support and other advice and expertise – for example, around targeting or scale-up.
