The Education Endowment Foundation is looking for someone with financial, and ideally investment, acumen to join its outstanding Board. They will also join its Audit, Finance and Fundraising Committee with a view to ultimately chairing this.
Ideally, applicants will bring investment knowledge and expertise, such that they can effectively hold the EEF’s external portfolio managers to account. This will be complemented by experience of overseeing wider strategic priorities in large and complex organisations, enabling them to advise on the variety of issues which the Committee and Board address. They will have operated at board level, whether as an executive or non-executive, and bring excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and listening skills which encourage collaboration and participation, being able to build consensus with tact, diplomacy and sensitivity.
The successful candidate will have sufficient time to contribute to the role, as well as an understanding of, and alignment with the mission of the EEF. They will demonstrate a strong interest in the transformative potential of education, and a commitment to evidence-led practice.
