Sir Michael Wilshaw
Sir Michael served as Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Education, Children’s Services and Skills from 2012 to 2016.
Professor Steve Higgins is Professor of Education at Durham University.
As former primary school teacher, he has a particular interest in the use of evidence from educational research to support decision-making by practitioners and policy makers. He is the lead author of the EEF’s Teaching and Learning Toolkit.
His other research interests include the use of digital technology in schools and how children’s thinking and reasoning can be developed.
