Privacy notice for those responding to EEF surveys
This privacy notice will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you respond to any EEF surveys using SurveyMonkey. This page should be read in conjunction with the notice above, 'Privacy notice - information that we need to tell everyone', which covers information relevant to anyone whose data is used by the EEF, including your rights.
Purpose and lawful basis for processing
The purpose for collecting your data is to enable us to better understand the views of teachers and senior leaders working in schools, nurseries and colleges; along with other EEF stakeholders, such as research teams.
The lawful basis we rely on to process your personal data is article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, which allows us to process personal data when it is necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests.
What we need and why we need it
What information we collect will vary according to the survey. Some can be completed anonymously, with no personal information collected. Others will request name and email address so that we can follow up if necessary. We may also request limited work information, such as job title and institution, to help us understand who is completing EEF surveys.
How long we keep it
The surveys held by EEF will be reviewed annually. Those that are no longer required to meet the purposes stated in this notice will be destroyed.
What are your rights?
We rely on your consent to process the personal data you provide to us to better understand the views of EEF stakeholders. This means you have the right to withdraw your consent, or to object to the processing of your personal data for this purpose at any time. If you do that, we’ll update our records immediately to reflect your wishes.
For more information on your rights, please see ‘Your rights’ under 'Privacy notice - information that we need to tell everyone'.
