The relationship between socioeconomic disadvantage and the attainment gap in the English education system: call for proposals

The Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) is commissioning a review of the best available research evidence on the relationship between socioeconomic disadvantage and the attainment gap in the English education system.

The aim of this review is to map the causal influences on disadvantaged pupils that contribute to the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their more affluent peers.

We are looking for proposals that can demonstrate: an understanding of the existing literature and evidence base on disadvantage and attainment; experience and expertise in conducting the proposed review methodology: a suitable research design.

If you have any questions, please contact Jonathan Kay at Jonathan.Kay@eefoundation.org.uk
