This methodological study will use secondary analysis of EEF evaluation data, incorporating multilevel meta-analysis and prototype Component Network Meta-Analysis (CNMA). It seeks to determine whether the EEF Data Archive can support a new generation of evidence synthesis that moves beyond programme-level evaluation towards understanding the contribution of individual intervention components. Specifically, the study will assess the feasibility of applying CNMA to EEF trial data, combining intervention component coding using the EEF’s Teaching and Learning Taxonomy with harmonised attainment outcomes from EEF-funded evaluations. Findings from the project are expected in summer 2027.
