What is grammar and syntax?
Grammar is the set of rules a language follows to convey meaning. Syntax is the part of grammar that focusses on how words are combined to form phrases and clauses, and how those components are then arranged into coherent sentences.
Books often contain language that is above a child’s independent reading level, exposing them to new words and complex sentence structures. This broadens their vocabulary and enhances their understanding of language mechanics, giving them the tools they need to read and comprehend on their own.Stella Jones
