The EEF is particularly interested in hearing about the issues that matter most in practice: the challenges the sector is facing, where existing evidence does not provide clear answers, and where better evidence could support decision-making.
Views are being sought from those working across early years, schools and 16 – 19 education, including teachers, leaders, and professionals who work with or alongside education settings.
The EEF is particularly keen to hear from people working in high-disadvantage contexts, as well as those from phases, roles and settings that may be less well represented in its existing engagement.
The consultation will run alongside a series of targeted focus groups, giving education professionals an opportunity to contribute their experience and perspectives directly to the development of the EEF’s research priorities.
Insights from the consultation and focus groups will be considered alongside other sources of information, including evidence gap mapping, policy analysis, and advice from researchers.
Based on these insights, the EEF will publish its 2027 – 2029 research agenda later this year. This will set out the goals and priorities for future research. It will serve as a roadmap, to ensure the EEF’s research answers the most pressing questions facing the sector today.
