Today we’ve opened applications for the second phase of our Working Through Others initiative, which aims to support organisations to build internal expertise and sustainable systems for evidence use.
This new phase follows a successful year of partnership projects with a diverse range of education organisations from across the system. Now, with a specific focus on multi-academy trusts, the EEF is seeking to better understand how trusts draw on the EEF’s suite of guidance reports to support high-quality teaching and learning across their schools.
We’re looking for four MATs to take part in bespoke, collaborative projects running through the 2025 – 26 academic year. These partnerships will centre on supporting trusts to implement practical, scalable changes in primary science and/or secondary literacy, based on EEF guidance.
Each project will be co-designed with the participating trust to ensure alignment with their specific context and priorities, with a particular emphasis on meeting the needs of disadvantaged pupils. These projects will also provide the EEF with rich insights into how evidence can be mobilised through central MAT teams to impact practice at scale.
The EEF will support selected trusts to:
- Build internal capacity to lead and sustain evidence-informed practice
- Translate research into action through structured, guided use of EEF guidance reports
- Strengthen systems of professional development and implementation across schools
- Evaluate and learn from the process of driving change in varied settings
If your trust is interested in how to scale evidence-informed approaches or enhance your central capacity for implementation, this project may offer a valuable opportunity to collaborate with the EEF and contribute to learning across the wider sector.
How to apply
The application window opens on Thursday 8th May and closes at 5pm on Friday 23rd May.
Interested MATs can find full details of the project, including eligibility criteria and application forms, via the link below.
