Privacy notice for schools involved in Accelerator Fund scale up projects

This privacy notice describes how EEF will use your contact details, if your school is part of an Accelerator Fund scale up project.

Your contact details will have been collected by scale up project as part of your school’s expression of interest to take part in the project.

This page should be read in conjunction with our privacy notice main page which covers information relevant to anyone whose data is used by the EEF.

The EEF will be contacting a random sample of schools involved in the scale up project, to hear their experiences of participating in the work. The purpose for collecting your contact details from the scale up project is to enable the EEF to contact you about this.

In addition, the DfE will be commissioning an evaluation of the Accelerator Fund that schools can choose to participate in. We may be required to share your contact details with the organisation/s that are conducting this evaluation.

The processing is necessary for the purpose of fulfilling EEF’s legitimate interests. These legitimate interests include supporting the DfE’s evaluation of the impact of Accelerator Fund, and ensuring that delivery of scale up projects is successful.

We will collect the names and email addresses of contact at the school from the scale up project. We may use this information or share it with the DfE’s evaluator for the above purposes.

We will retain your contact details until six years after the scale up project is finished. At this point your contact information will be deleted.

As we are processing your personal data for our legitimate interests as stated above, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data. There are legitimate reasons why we may refuse your objection, which depend on why we are processing it.

For more information on your rights, please see‘Your rights’on our privacy notice main page.
