Infant Language Link is a school-based programme that supports early identification and intervention for pupils with language difficulties. It begins with an online, standardised screening tool to assess language ability, identifying children that may require additional support. The programme provides tiered support based on children’s needs:
- Teachers receive training via online webinars and then deliver the programme through whole-class teaching.
- Teaching Assistants also complete online training and deliver targeted interventions for pupils with mild-to-moderate language needs.
Schools have access to a wide range of resources through the online platform, including session plans, classroom resources, and handouts for parents.
