•She/HerKate leads on EEF’s early years policy work, alongside work to enable evidence-informed practice within the early years system.
Kate joined the EEF policy team in 2022, and in 2024 took up a newly created role in the early years team to drive forward EEF’s early years policy work, and to establish a new workstream which aims to develop evidence-informed practice among organisations delivering training and other forms of support to early years providers.
Before joining the EEF, Kate led a national children's online safety programme at the National Crime Agency. She has also worked as a teacher and in community development for children and young people, including delivery of local level support for early years settings and programmes.
Kate is passionate about social justice in education and is vice-chair of governors at her local primary school in south-east London.
