Stuart Mathers
Stu leads the EEF’s Evidence Mobilisation team
Charlotte is the EEF’s Regional Delivery Lead for the South West and South Coast of England.
Charlotte works closely with the Research School Network to ensure that the EEF’s evidence and resources are reaching schools, particularly those in disadvantaged circumstances.
Before joining the EEF, Charlotte worked as an Assistant Headteacher and teacher of English in a large 11-18 comprehensive school in central Bristol. She has over 12 years teaching and school leadership experience, including senior leadership roles specialising in Behaviour, Attendance, Inclusion and Raising Standards. She has worked with MAT CEOs, Governors, Headteachers and Senior Leadership Teams across the South West, building professional partnerships to improve pupil outcomes in the region.
Before completing her training with Teach First in 2013, Charlotte spent 2 years teaching English in Argentina for an international school and prior to that she completed an MPhil in Philosophy at Oxford University, examining our moral obligations to future people.
During her time in Oxford, she also worked for the Sutton Trust, leading their programme to raise applications to the university, for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
