Jonathan has worked at EEF since 2013, seconded from University College London’s Institute of Education. He works with schools and policy makers across the sector to promote evidence-informed practice, and spread knowledge of ‘what works’ in teaching and learning. He helps EEF apply the latest research on research use to develop new initiatives that support evidence-informed practice. Recently, his work has focused on helping schools implement evidence-based approaches in their context. Jonathan co-authored EEF’s ‘A School's Guide to Implementation' and ‘Making Best Use of Teaching Assistants’ guidance reports.
He was previously Deputy Director of The Institute for the Future of the Mind, at University of Oxford, and a secondary school science teacher in Sydney.
