She/HerIgraine (Iggy) leads the EEF’s Programmes team and is the EEF’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Beverley manages a range of EEF-funded programmes and leads the EEF’s programmes work on metacognition, secondary literacy and physical development in the early years.
Beverley joined the EEF as a Programme Manager in April 2024. In her role as Programme Manager she supports grantees through the grant funding cycle, school recruitment activities and delivery of their programmes. She also collaborates with EEF Evaluation Managers to delivery high quality and robust evaluations of EEF pilots and trials. Part of her work involves translating the technical reports into resources that are accessible for practitioners. Beverley also collaborates closely with both the Evidence Synthesis team and the Content and Engagement team on her theme work.
Prior to joining the EEF Beverley worked as a secondary English teacher for almost two decades. As literacy co-ordinator she led on intervention programmes of support for reading and also delivered literacy training for staff. Beverley received a DfE bursary to study for her Master's Degree in English and her PhD research was in vocabulary and adolescent reading experience.
