Katharina Keck
Katharina (Kat) leads the EEF’s evaluation team, which commissions high-quality, cost-effective evaluations of EEF-funded projects.
Rachael is responsible for managing robust evaluations of EEF-funded projects, and leads on the EEF data archive, and partnership with YEF.
Rachael joined the EEF in 2021 as an Evaluation Manager, before becoming a Senior Evaluation Manager in 2022. Rachael manages a portfolio of projects, including the policy evaluation of universal free school meal provision in London, as well as programmes across primary, secondary and post-16 settings. Rachael’s senior responsibilities include leading the EEF’s approach to use of archive data to inform best methodological practice and use of evidence. She is also evaluation lead in attendance and exclusion interventions in EEF’s partnership with the Youth Endowment Fund.
Prior to joining the EEF, Rachael worked as a Research Fellow at Canterbury Christ Church University, evaluating the impact of health-related interventions. She has a PhD and MSc in Psychology from the University of Kent and completed her undergraduate studies at Durham University.
Rachael became passionate about education equality through input from EEF’s sister charity, the Sutton Trust, whilst at school.

Traineeship scheme
Sophie is a member of the evaluation team as part of the traineeship scheme while pursuing her MSc in Evaluation and Policy Analysis at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Chris is part of the Evaluation team on an internship break from his PhD at King’s College London, for which he is researching what makes secondary school students curious about science.
