Methodological Innovation Lead
Celeste leads our Teacher and School Choices work, as well as our work on policy evaluations and quasi-experimental designs.
Celeste joined the EEF's evaluation team in September 2018, working as an Evaluation Manager and Senior Evaluation Manager, before taking on the role of Methodological Innovation Lead in June 2024. In her current role, Celeste leads on the EEF's Teacher and School Choices work, which aim to answer questions that are relevant to the day-to-day work of teachers and school leaders. She also leads the development of EEF's best practice guidance on quasi-experimental designs.
Prior to the EEF, Celeste was the Research and Evaluation manager at the education charity The Brilliant Club, responsible for designing and conducting research and innovation projects. Before entering the field of education in 2016, Celeste was an academic researcher with expertise in neurocognitive development. She completed her PhD from the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College London in 2013.
