This page should be read in conjunction with our privacy notice main page​which covers information relevant to anyone whose data is used by the EEF.

Your data will be used to assess your application for a grant and to fulfil and enforce the terms of any grant agreement with you.

The legal bases we rely on to process your personal data are article 6(1) (b) performance of contract and is article 6(1)(f) legitimate interests of the GDPR.

We collect your name, telephone number, email address (also used as a username), title, job role, the organisation you work for and its type, together with details of your proposal and why it should be funded.

We need this information in order to assess your application, respond to your application with feedback, and to administer any funding that is agreed.

We will keep your application indefinitely to be able to track and report on the volume and nature of funding applications to the EEF over time.

Yes. If you apply for funding you do so via our grant system called Console, which is a software provided by CC Technology. CC Technology state on its privacy notice it complies with European data privacy laws. Further information can be found in CC Technology’s privacy notice, available online here. Its safeguards if/​when sending data outside the EEA are available online here.
